Hi, I'm just trying to gather some information about typical mainframe CPU utilization. No such word as typical I know, but just wondered: are you running all of your mainframes flat out night and day or do you typically run at a much lower CPU utilization but you need the extra capacity for occasional peak periods? If the latter, do you have an estimate of the percentage utilization off peak? Also have you considered offloading some of this work from your own machines to z/OS cloud offerings? Do you have development machines that are not running at full capacity?
