With the brief passage of time (Liberty, z/OS Management Facility, z/OS
Connect, CICS TS 5.x, WOLA, etc.), we now know. Moreover, Liberty and WAS
for z/OS exploit z/OS in various important and useful ways.

Also, WAS CE was/is available on Linux on z.

That said, the original question was about Apache Geronimo, and the direct
answer to the question is that, yes, Geronimo runs on z/OS, and some number
of z/OS customers run it. If you'd like to buy your Geronimo support
services from IBM, ask your friendly IBM representative. Or if you'd like
to buy your Geronimo support services from Kirk and Dovetailed
Technologies, just inquire (offline).
