OK. Up to 4 (not 3) data sets concatenated, and up to 3 qualifiers in each
and the first and last must be identical in all data sets. And no mixture
of Legacy data sets and UNIX directories. Silly rules.
(I'm informed that one can chisel 2 or more qualifiers in each field as
long as all fit in 8 characters.)

Good. Does it check on entry that the target (first) library is writeable
according to RACF rules?

Gil,
I don't think ISRDDN gives a rip about these edit rules - other than the one
about mixing legacy and Unix. In my ISRDDN concatenation that I was editing I
have 18 datasets concatenated, and I can select a member from any of the first
16 (which is all ISRDDN will show me). These datasets have anywhere from 2-4
qualifiers and they are all over the board as far as DSN is concerned from
system libraries to production to development/test libraries.
My SYSPROC concatenation of which I can edit members of the first 16 libraries
from within ISRDDN.
SYSPROG.REXXLIB
MYCO.THIRD.VALD.CMDPROC
MYCO.THIRD.CMDPROC
CPAC.CMDPROC
TMG.REXX
MYCO2.ABC.CMDPROC
MYCO2.PGMR.REXXLIB
SYS1.SBLSCLI0
MYCO.VAB857.VABCLIB
SYS1.HRFCLST
GIM.SGIMCLS0
SYS1.DGTCLIB
ISP.SISPCLIB
FMN.SFMNCLIB
FFST.V120ESA.SEPWCENU
SYS1.SCBDCLST
EOY.SEOYCLIB
EOX.SEPHCLB1
As far as checking SAF upon entry, the answer is no it doesn't. I just
verified that RACF didn't fail an edit of the first library until the user
tried to save when she just has read access to the library.
