we went to some afterwork python presentation and uber had offered free
meeting space in their conference/cafeteria area. wow! life is wonderful
- beer on tap, more stocked refrigerators than a 7/11, cappuccino
machines that must have required a pilot license to operate, and on and
on - i've never seen some much fun in one place. too bad we can't
(re)live again as programmers. is there life after an abend?

so i guess you know - the programming market here is smoking hot right now
- if you can breathe, you can get a job. everyone wants to live in sf -
nothing for sale, nothing for rent. there is construction everywhere - esp. in
the bad lands around 1455 market and out by me: in mission bay - out
there, there must be 2 or 3 thousand apartments under construction.

happy times until the next crash-
