Me too. In just about every case where I've seen automatic cancels
because of abuse, the user simply reruns the task after adding more
of whatever they ran out of (time, jobparm limits, etc.) I'd
rather push for more user-responsibility and have monitors in place
for the exceptions.
I sort of agree with you but I have also seen a management mess that
took 6 or 8 years to get corrected over something like this. I am
suggesting at times there is no straight forward answer at time and
the easiest is relief is to do what you are suggesting. Long run it
takes time and a management change.
Kind of like Star Trek that I'm watching right now on Netflix. They
never lock up the shuttles and nobody ever takes them for a joy
ride. Ok, hardly ever. But they usually catch the person right
away because they monitor things from the bridge.
