Doesn't stop people asking for it. Over a year ago I was queried about 64-bit Cobol. This was for statically linked CICS - as in *everything* linked into one module. And it was running out of region ... So 64-bit Cobol was going to solve everything. Don't fix the inherent problem(s), chase the symptom - how common is that ?.
