Thanks for your comments. But as others also asked on various topics, just ask 
why or getting more background information may reveal an underlying problem. I 
have believed the OP is struggling with something causing him/her to ask about 
RDW.

No problem. As you may see in my previous posts, I also say 'wise persons ask 
questions'. And I am also a curious guy, just like you. If I have insulted you, 
please accept my apology, but like many IBM-MAIN members, I try to help for 
free and when I have time.

Indeed. I agree with you. Before I answered the OP, I have looked in my books 
and SMF assembler source just to be sure I did not give a false reply.
