The SYS1.VVDS entries don't need to be catalogued in order to be functional. I often "clone" a master catalog and I have _never_ bothered recataloging the VVDS entries. The clone catalog has always worked just fine. Now, it certainly won't hurt anything to go ahead and recatalog them. If you like to be neat and tidy.
