John, The TEST function in ISMF is using the same info ALLOCATION would use.
So in option 7 or 8 is the TEST facility. You can generate an entry in your ISPFTLIB dataset that contains the datasets you want in your TEST function. You might want to generate test cases in ISMF that you can use in TEST. A mix of datasets should be used against any change in ACS code to ensure you do not accidently drop or miss something in a change.
