The syntax of IEASYMxx supports continuations. You may code SYSDEF on one line or multiple lines as you choose (or as the length of your data demands). That includes the specification of hwname, lparname, sysname. Individual keyword/value pairs likely need to be on the same line.
You can think of IEASYMxx processing as consuming one big string that is built by taking each line, stripping leading and trailing blanks, adding a blank at the end, and concatenating that to what had already been built using the same approach.
