Hello Samat, There are a lot of variables on this one. You need to know what these switches are being used for. Which CHPIDs go through them. However, if you have all redundant connections and the plan is to do one switch at a time, you *should* be fine. Maybe some IOS messages, but as far as I remember, for example, VTAM and TCPIP can recover interfaces by themselves once there is connection again. (this was from a minor switch replacement in a small shop).
I feel this thread will be very hot today :) Take care, Lucas On Jun 18, 2015 6:14 AM, "zos reader" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi All, > > There is a switch replacement scheduled by network team, Do we need to IPL > the systems to get this reflected or any other changes that need to be done > after the switch replaced from Mainframe end. > > I appreciate your valuable inputs. > > Thanks, > Samat > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, > send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
