It's been a while but they do provide partial support-it may have gotten better. The person you need to talk to is the 'Environmental Specialist'. Will provide Auto-cad with physical layout, Power requirements in KVA and thermal in BTU's for IBM equipment. Depending on how far you want to go. We ended up going a lot farther. Using the layering facilities of AutoCad to add in OEM equipment and the cabling from HCD. Ended up producing the graphical layout in PS format and sending it to Auto-Cad it looked like a postage stamp but on a big screen it comes out OK. Helps to have a wide-bed plotter handy. I'm in the process of laying out a small mainframe computer room. Has IBM ever provided templates for their mainframe equipment, preferably in AutoCAD *.dwg format?
