I suppose one could do a internet search for IBM PDSE JCL GENERATION
And find the following link
http://www-304.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLTBW_2.1.0/com.ibm.zos.v2r1.idad400/pdsegenerations.htm
or (watch the wrap)
z/OS 2.1.0>z/OS DFSMS>z/OS DFSMS Using Data Sets>Non-VSAM Access to Data Sets
and UNIX Files>Processing a Partitioned Data Set Extended (PDSE)>PDSE Member
Generations

Which provide some interesting JCL processes for PDS/E and generations.

Note: You have to be at PDS/E Level 2 and code a generation number for the
library.
