There are plenty of security options to control it.
Not sure about the app. But HTTP / HTTPS has been around a long time and
works on all smartphones.
I use remote access to my HMC's (haven't seem them for months, while
working almost daily), however I asekd about features of the smartphone
application.
It is definitely another gismo!
BTW: The application can (or could) serve data from ResourceLink, so no
access to HMC is actually needed. - That's one of the options I can imagine.
BTW2: I DON'T WANT "CPC power off" button in my smartphone!
