We have 4 system in sysplex sharing same parmlib and other proc and
libraries.
Out of these 4 system, in two of the system nslookup lookup command is not
working .
===> nslookup sys01
EZB3000I *** Can't find initialize address for server : Non-existent domain
A RESOLVER trace shows -
res_init Resolver values:
Global Tcp/Ip Dataset = None
* Default Tcp/Ip Dataset = None*
Local Tcp/Ip Dataset = None
Translation Table = TCPIP.STANDARD.TCPXLBIN
UserId/JobName = TCPIP22
Caller API = TCP/IP C Sockets
Caller Mode = EBCDIC
System Name = SYS01 (from VMCF)
UnresponsiveThreshold = 25
SYS01 does not find the resolver parameters that other system also use -
DEFAULTTCPIPDATA('SYS1.TCPPARMS(TCPDATAZ)')
But all system sharing same SYS1.TCPPARMS(TCPDATAZ) from TCPIP proc. But
not able to find that why these two system not able to pick DNS entry.
Any clue.
