This informational APAR II07664, is an excellent read. However, I probably have a few questions 1) Is this in CICS/DB2/IMS, etc.? 2) Does this have alternate index? Is anyone/task accessing the base cluster but also coming in through an alternate index? 3) Does the dasd connect to a system outside of its Plex? 4) Have you done any internet searches for IEC161I 052(084 ? 5) Did you see any other messages like IDC or IEA, etc.? Could you supply all messages?
If the problem is due to GRS, you may need to setup and run the GRS Monitor for a brief time if the error is consistent - that is always at the same time or always for the same job.
