I also assumed the same, because I ran IEBGENER repeatedly with /*JOBPARM 
SYSAFF=???? from a PS to a temp PS.

I find the temp like this SYS16050.T122820.RA000.????????.R0A75022 

Where the 0A is specific to a LPAR and 01, 04, 05, etc. are specific to their 
own LPAR. This I observed after repeated runs on several LPARs. 

OK, granted some of these LPARs are on z/OS v2.1 and others on v1.13.

I looked at IBM Knowledge Centre, but could not find any description there.
