From D IOS,CONFIG there is the DATE/TIME of the PROCESSOR TOKEN. You can also use the ACTIVE IODF DATA SET name to check it's BUILD datetime. From D IPLINFO there is the SYSTEM IPLED date and time. There is also IODF ORIGINAL vs CURRENT device address. Lastly you could use SECURITY audit tracking or AUTOMATION to monitor ACTIVATE commands. I am guessing your hardware team does a lot of DASD movement (TDMF?) without advising the Operation teams clearly of their activities. Changes in IODF volume address require changes to IPL LOAD parms, but other IODF ACTIVATEs shouldnt cause any grief if your LOADxx member is set up with the generic IODF suffix search parameter.
