An interesting question. I'd say if the module assembles correctly with the HLASM defaults, then there's no need to document the options; it would be clutter. And that's the case for this fix. I don't think e.g. the Binder or any other utility options in SMP/E are typically documented for a PTF. Only if the required options differ from the norm would it make sense to document them. I suppose there's a fuzzy line between "default as shipped" and "norm". Very commonly installations use things like FLAG(PAGE0) and friends, that a few IBM macros still trigger (though to IBM's credit, several common macros have been changed in the last few years so as to not trigger these warnings). Probably the "correct" solution to these is to fix the shipped assembler code and macros rather than to document that special options have to be set.
