Some good free ones are Code::Blocks, Atom, Eclipse CDT, NetBeans, CodeLite.
JEdit and the built-in editors in NetBeans and Eclipse are top notch. Really, for C++, probably Eclipse CDT is unmatched.

Have you tried Atom? It's C++ support is very good indeed, autocomplete is provided with a clang plugin. It's fast and the memory footprint is small. It's also in active development and has a large community working on it. Scripting is done in Javascript/Coffeescript and is easy. How is scripting done in Eclipse, Java?
