I was "raised and trained" to have all my SMF datasets to be of one LRECL, usually 32760 or 32767 simply to avoid such nice abends later. Why can you have different LRECLs for the SMF data as input [1]? Is there a reason (beside device geometry) why you need different LRECLs for your SMF records?
