It's Friday...
1. I would like to have whole z/OS installation material (read tape
content) on pendrive. I could accept multiple volumes (pendrives)
instead of single bigger one. BTW: It's cheaper than tape cart, 32GB one
is for less than 10$.
2. I would like to have another pendrive(s) for any additional material,
like PDFs, books, program directories, and last but the most important:
whole bunch of .ISO images of attached products. Books and ISO images
can be separated, multiple volumes accepted.
3. I would like to have an option to start from the pendrive attached fo
HMC or my PC with ftp server, like zVM installation. "Load from
Removable Media or Server" icon, then something IPLs on some LPAR. It
can be CoD or some standalone program to put CoD disk images from
pendrive onto 3390 disks. The IPL CoD.
4. I would like the CoD or my old z/OS to perform ServerPac installation
task using the pendrive attached to HMC or my PC (with ftp server).
5. I would also have an option to dump whole volumes onto
somewhere-attached pendrive. With standalone program to restore it.
