Martin: using ISMF, in the VIO Storage Pool definition is VIO Unit (beside the
MaxSize). I haven't been able to find a complete list of available device
types but v2.1 documentation focus is on 3390 with the occasional mention of
3380. Supposedly any valid device could be used. [pause] hey, managed to
locate it. [1] Presumably it's used to determine byte to track conversions for
SPACE=. Similar to " Default Device Geometry :" in the CDS Base panels. [2]
From Implementing SMS manual, " The VIO device type is virtual and is
unrelated to actual devices on your system. "

Right. My (now long gone, I fear) VIOTOES presentation majored on (the then
new) DFSMS implementation. In particular ACS Routines and VIOMAXSIZE.
But I still thought you had to have some VIO devices defined.
