Still beating the horse. (Thought I saw it move.) Our SYS1.BRODCAST is 20 cylinders allocated in 1991. It has never needed moving except during DASD refresh, when *everything* gets moved. If the volume it's on got trashed, we'd be in such a world of excruciating hurt that BRODCAST is last thing we'd worry about.
Compared with the aforementioned hysteria in the user community over logon time error messages, I'll take my chances. ;-) Plus we do use public broadcast messages to alert folks on upcoming outages and major upgrades. . .
