So you never see a screen with OSA information in the header and your client IP address in the footer?
From OSA-Express Integrated Console Controller Implementation Guide (SG24-6364), take a look at the following: A session index may be defined in the following ways: - Both the client workstation’s IP address and client session LU name (recommended). - Only the client session LU name (not recommended). - Only the client workstation IP address (not recommended). - Client LU name must be unique for a given logical partition (MIFID). For example, sessions connecting to different logical partitions cannot have the same LU name. Based on the above, this is explicitly what you are using with the client? I have fetched the IP address, Port Address and LU name from the HMC. When I try to connect first it says connected and later it gets disconnected. I am able to ping the IP address but when I do a telnet test from from DOS first it shows a blank screen and later cones back to previous screen. Any idea where should I be looking ? Is it something the firewall team have to lookin ? Is there an option within HMC that restricts connection from a new destination within the organization? Any suggestions?
