If you have confirmed it is on the disk (I assume you mean the BDW and RDW look OK) then it is being clobbered in code. If something is not correct immediately after doing a correct read (so assumption you have coded that correctly) then it is something for IBM. More likely is a program error after the read and before you notice it.
