The SAMPLIB member cited below is not there on my R13 system. I found it on
2.1. ;-(

I just did a simple-minded Google search with

  ibm system rexx sample

and got a lot of hits. Also SYS1.SAMPLIB contains some uncompiled samples like
HWIXMRS1 .

Subject: (External):Re: Example System REXX programs?

The execs doesnt have to be compiled. You can sa e them as source code.
You an use the racf pw exit as a sample to start with.

I'm just now looking at System REXX. Basically to see what it might be able to
do which we now do with CA-OPS/MVS. The System REXX programs distributed by IBM
are compiled. I don't see any "source" forms for them. The documentation seems
a bit "disjointed" to me. I am basically guessing that the REXX is identical to
the REXX documented in the TSO books. I did find out about the TSO=YES and
TSO=NO parameters, but don't know where that is specified. And I am assuming
that, since the manuals don't mention it, that ADDRESS SYSCALL and use of UNIX
facilities is not supported.

IOW, it appears to me that System REXX really can't be used as an automation
tool. The closest that I can think of to do so is to write an MPF exit which
invokes a System REXX program, passing the program the message, thus allowing
the REXX program to analyze it and "do something".
