Long before STDATA was the Started Class Table, which was assembled from macros. It required an IPL to effect changes. AFAIK that is still supported, although I can't imagine any shop still using it. And for non-RACF shops, how is the dynamic mechanism implemented in ASM2 and Top Secret?
