Well, "W Mainframe" is not exactly straightforward. Or if that's his or her 
real name, I guess the career path was pretty much fore-ordained. Too bad Conor 
wasn't named Conor Mainframe.

That 000001304632a58d-dmarc-requ...@listserv.ua.edu is Listserv's way of 
protecting itself against the havoc that Google and Yahoo et al have wreaked on 
mailing lists. It's not someone hiding identity.
Almost certainly the OP has an email at Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, or some other 
provider with required email signing in their DNS. I see them all the time on 
this and other lists.
