1000% agree, even extended help (after PF1) give the user no clue as to what 
was not found.

And that message needs to be fixed. It should be "No CHARS P'¬' found", 
or No PIC '¬' found, making it clear that the unsuccessful search was for 
a picture string, even as it includes the "X" when reporting the result of 
a search for a hex string.
