It's been about a decade or so since I've supported DASD, but I found this
JCL that uses FDRCOPY that may help:

//STEP1   EXEC PGM=FDRCOPY,REGION=8192K
//SYSPRINT  DD SYSOUT=T
//SYSPRIN1  DD SYSOUT=T
//SYSUDUMP  DD SYSOUT=T
//DISK1     DD UNIT=SYSDA,DISP=SHR,VOL=SER=DSKB84
//SYSIN        DD *
    COPY    TYPE=DSF
    SELECT  DSN=DB2PRD.DSNDBC.BDP*
    NEWVOL=(DB2T5*,DB2T6*,DB2T7*)
    NEWNAME=DB2TST.*
