I take exception to David's comment, because my shop is an exception. #1. UFL is "Getting Off" the mainframe sometime in the next few years. #2. I have had a request to use SFTP from the mainframe for production, the request to use SFTP was from the security group, who does not take #1 into account. #3. Because of #1, GUESS WHO CAN'T SPEND ANY $$$$'s on anything new! #4. So I am following this discussion in the hopes to expand my limited knowledge of SFTP to satisfy #2.

You will almost certainly get better support and the feature boost is a no-brainer.
