IBM has closed APAR OA51579 and the PTF's are now available. This resolves a serious PDSE corruption issue that occurs with PDSE V2 Member Generations. The symptoms documented in the APAR cover some, but NOT ALL, of the situations where corruption can occur and since installing the fixtest apar code I've not encountered any corruption whereas before I could expect to have at least one of my PDSE V2's with member generation datasets become corrupt several times a week and in one case I could recreate the corruption easily.
I urge everyone who is using, or planning to use, PDSE V2 member generations to get this.
