Do an HMIG and see what it complains about -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of PINION, RICHARD W. Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2017 2:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: HSM migration
Not yet. I foud this PATCH command that I hope will give me more detail. If the following patches have been applied, then during volume migration or volume backup, DFSMShsm issues an ARC0734I message for each supported SMS-managed data set even though it does not meet the selection criteria. The reason code issued with the message explains why the SMS-managed data set does not qualify for selection. For interval migration, return code 45 with reason codes less than 90 are not produced regardless of the patch. Entering the following PATCH command causes the extra messages to be issued for SMS-managed data sets that were not selected for volume migration: PATCH .MGCB.+26 X'FF' -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Beaver Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2017 3:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: HSM migration Have you tried a manual migration of a GDG? Thanks for the suggestion. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Cafiero, Tobias M. If it is your datasets won't migrate -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of PINION, RICHARD W. Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2017 12:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: HSM migration I'm not a DFHSM expert, so please bear with me. I have a situation where certain data sets, GDG data sets, are not being migrated. According to the Mgmt class, the data sets should be migrated based on last ref date and number of GDG entries on primary. I don't think there are any DFHSM exits which would be denying the migration. Any ideas why this is happening?
