A new version of the PCRE2 regex engine for z/OS was released and would be posted on CBTTAPE (file 939) soon. New in this release is Rexx API. It is implemented as a Rexx function, written in Assembler by John Gateley. It accepts basic regular expressions and some minimal options and returns a Rexx stem.
