I've been using SMFRTEST without a SUBTYPE specification for some time. I get the expected results for RECTYPE=x if SMF record type x is not being recorded for a given subsystem.
I just coded it with a SUBTYPE specification for the first time and was surprised to see that apparently if RECTYPE=x is not being recorded at all for a given subsystem then RECTYPE=x,SUBTYPE=y seems to return 00 -- the record type is being recorded. Is this the behavior others have seen or should I suspect a coding problem on my part? I've desk-checked the code pretty thoroughly.
