The "Brylane GDG zap" was an old Share zap that many customers used prior to the fancy restart packages being developed. I think I have it straight, the creation of a GDG gets cataloged at the end of step so this zap "NOPS" a couple of instructions and delays the cataloging until the end of the job.
I have disassembled IEFBA461 and it looks radically different between 2.2 and 2.1.
