I suppose more sophisticated tools might be available at a price. Further, mainframe software was a minority LoB for my employer and we could not get an exception from packaging standards required that any software product or service be delivered in a *.zip archive containing a README.* file and an unspecified collection of payload files. We delivered a .zip archive containing the README, the GIMZIP package and installation instructions and JCL samples.
