I was just reading up on the CA-7 release 12 documentation (installed CA-7 R12 last Sat). I noticed that there is a UNIX command, ca7oecom, which can send commands to CA-7 via the U7SVC interface. I never noticed this before, perhaps because I don't do CA-7 much.
Does anyone use this at all? I noticed that I could do something like an "xqm", but I didn't get the same data back as I would have when I use the 3270 interface. That's too bad because I would love to be able to pipe the results of some CA-7 commands into more UNIX commands to do "weird and wonderful" things. -- I just child proofed my house. But the kids still manage to get in.
