There is no good way to round this (there are ways although).
Usually there is no reason to round this. 8 FICON channels is quite a lot.
You would need more channels in very specific situations:
1. More than 16k devices per FICON. It was more popular for ESCON and
1024 devs limit.
2. More I/O bandwidth. Usually it measn big installation with many CPCs,
so every CPC has its own 8 channels, but the DASD box has nx8 ports.
