RMF III is a separate part of IBM's RMF, writing to its own VSAM files;
it does not write SMF records by itself. Especially exploiting the
1 minute interval, it is a powerful tactical tool to find out what
happened, while RMF I (SMF 70-79) data is more strategic in nature.

Both are invaluable for z/OS systems.

Thank you Sir. I'm not sure what the current interval is.
Maybe I can suss the rough interval by looking at timestamps in SMF record
type 70 subtype 1?
Would need to find that out and then consider the implications of changing
it to a 1 minute interval recording.

The data is captured in RMF III VSAM files, if you run RMF III at 1 minute
intervals.
The VSAM files can be reported from using IBM Reports, or "ADVERTISEMENT"
MXG Software.

Hi All,

Is it possible to get the LPAR, MSU Def. and MSU Act from the RMF CPC
Capacity Report, in bulk?
Looking for samples every 1 minute.
Is this captured in any SMF record type?
Is this a sample report, by any chance, in the RMF Spreadsheet Reporter?

Thanks in advance.
