After I did get one over via FTP(a real pain) after the build , the source had

It seems you do it properly, at least it worked for 13 and previous
machines.
Wild guesses:
Maybe insert USB stick before you start the dialog? Or just after?
Note, remove any other stick!
Or go to the CPC and logon of SE directly?
