We are looking at applying z14 RSM enhancement PTF UA93213 which includes
apar OA51864. This adds " freemained frame" support for high private.
http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/zoslib/pdf/OA51864.pdf

On a z13 z/OS V2R2, RSM had support for " freemained frame" for low private.
This caused " Applications that issue the TPROT instruction or reference
storage that was freemained will not always get a condition code of 3 or an 0C4
system abend". The solution was to use VSMLOC and VSMLIST services as
alternatives to TPROT or use the IARBRVER and IARBRVEA services which are
higher performance callable services that provided the same results as TPROT.

Does anyone have this enhancement on with their z14's ? I would assume that
vendors fixed their code for z13 support for "freemain frame" support that they
fixed in in all their code for both low and high private ?

I understand that we could turn off this support with a DIAG but then we would
lose the performance benefit of the enhancement.
