You are trying to use flashcopy to copy volume A to volume AF and it is failing because AF is being replicated by PPRC. Is this really what you want to do? If AF's sole purpose is to exist long enough to spin the data to tape, do you need it on the remote DS8884? We're doing in essence the same thing, but on my local DS box, I have certain ranges (LCUs) set up for PPRC replication and I have other LCUs not being replicated. I do my flashcopy processing to non-replicated LCUs because I don't need them after the dump to tape is complete. If you don't need the traffic of copying all your F/C targets across to the remote DS box, that could be something to pursue.
