Compuware Both will identify "hot spots" in the code , which can then be repaired. What you are describing in known in the field as "performance engineering". i.e. build the performance into the development cycle, not after the fact. Though we could catch some performance issues during testing, we are also trying to find if there are any products available in the market that can scan through mainframe COBOL code and identify areas that could have a potential performance impact.
