I think it is a case of whatever floats your boat.

I probably would not have DSORG=PO sharing the same MGMTCLAS with batch files.

I agree COND IMMED or CONDITIONAL is more appropriate for PDS.

I tend to be a bit careful when using Yes Immediate to release space. I got 
burned once during a product conversion when we ended up releasing space 
against a VERY large PDS being used by a change management product. Batch 
sequential files are usually fair game but I still prefer coding Conditional 
Immediate so that the data set has room to extend if needed.
