I'm considering an MBP. But can the touch bar be configured to transparently provide (P)F keys for emulators, X11, VirtualBox, ... On my old MB I used Keyboard Preferences so I can use F1-F12 without using a modifier key. I never mastered PF13-PF24, so that's not a concern.
