You have gotten good replies and warning about the complexities. I concur with Kees. Do your moves first and then when you have an empty volser, vary it offline and rename that volser. Of course, check for usage and ENQs. Are these datasets shared across different LPARs on the same or different Catalogs? Are they [or rather the volser] shared between more than one SysPlex?
