BTW, John, when looking for possible "standard" names for timezones, I ran across the following page... http://www.linuxhowtos.org/manpages/3/newtzset.htm ...that misled me to think there is such a list. On the above page there is a specific example for Israel specifying IST2IDT (no minus sign), but then, this is a Linux "HowTo" site, not a z/OS one.
