Well OK, but then you probably don't have an IBM TS7760 unless you also have a mainframe. :-) The TS7760 is a mainframe-attached VTS. The answer is YES, you CAN share IBM TS7760 resources (and, if also attached to the TS7760, IBM TS4500 tape libraries and IBM TS1150/TS1140 tape drives) with distributed platforms and with Linux on Z. You need z/OS and some software (as described), both obviously obtainable, and you can certainly do it.
